We have a diverse and talented team of employees who come to us from many kinds of backgrounds.  We have an immediate need for a Process & Documentation Specialist for our new Downtown Chicago office that will report to our 
Director of Special Ops & Data Quality.

Overview

The Process & Documentation Specialist is a member of the Special Operations team.  Spec Ops is a small team that refines existing processes and supports new products and initiatives.  In this role you will translate complex and lengthy processes into comprehensible and dependable resources. You will maintain and evolve well organized, credible and accurate content repositories.  As you gain a deeper understanding of the teams’ processes and policies, you will monitor and analyze their effectiveness to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. A key aspect of this role is producing meaningful documentation that explains where we are today and where we will go tomorrow. Successful candidates possess a strong sense of ownership over their workload, are adept at communicating and committed to teamwork. 

Responsibilities

  • Update existing procedures, policies, and relevant training materials.  
  • Create documentation outlining current state and future state processes.  
  • Evaluate existing business processes and gather feedback. 
  • Conduct ongoing analysis. 
  • Present process improvement suggestions 
  • Assists in a variety of scheduled and unscheduled tasks at any given time. 

Requirements

  • Competency using the Internet, Windows, Microsoft products (OneNote, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and databases.  Experience with Confluence is a plus. 
  • Experience with technical writing, authoring e-learning courses, or similar content. 
  • Ability to master and retain information about workflows and processing anomalies.  
  • Ability to develop metrics to analyze and measure process effectiveness. 
  • Strong organization and time management skills. 
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and critical thinking ability. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively.
