Position Overview

Legacy.com is seeking an outstanding HR Director who is a true generalist to manage the human resource functions for the company, including talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, employee engagement, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, compliance, etc.

Job Summary

The Human Resource Director will be report to the Chief People Officer. You will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the activities, and policies of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Chief People Officer and senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, learning and development, and retention
  • Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs; develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management
  • Manage the talent acquisition process for all positions, including posting positions, sourcing, interviewing, coordinating interviews, evaluating pay structures, presenting offers, and facilitating background checks
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs
  • Provide counseling to management on employment law and employee relations matters
  • Administer company benefits, including health, dental, vision, S/LTD and Life Insurances, 401k, HSA, and FSA
  • Lead 401k and Benefit audits on a yearly basis
  • Assist in the health insurance renewal process, including managing the Open Enrollment process
  • Oversee and manage semi-monthly, multi-state company payroll
  • Partner with People Leaders on performance management and goal setting
  • Provide research, guidance, and assist with the administration of company compensation program
  • Maintain personnel records and accurate job descriptions for all employees
  • In partnership with IDEA team and Fun Squad, plan and execute company employee engagement activities
  • Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Develops and implements departmental budget
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. Provide regular dashboards and reports to Senior Management Team
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • 7-10 years prior experience in Human Resources

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
