Accounting Manager

We have a diverse and talented team of employees who come to us from many kinds of backgrounds.  We have an immediate need for a talented, experienced Accounting Manager for our new Downtown Chicago office that will report to our Controller.

Overview offers a great opportunity for personal growth and a challenging and exciting work environment.  We are looking for a detail-oriented, personable team player to assist our Finance Department. 


  • Supervise, manage, and evaluate the accounting for all portfolio companies. Prepare accurate and timely month-end and annual accounting and supporting schedules for all portfolio companies in accordance with GAAP
  • Review and analyze trends, metrics, and KPIs in the underlying P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Perform reconciliations of general ledger and bank accounts
  • Manage intercompany transactions and month-end reconciliations
  • Manage, supervise and train Staff Accountants
  • Prepare financial forecasts
  • Provide recommendations and insights to business stakeholders
  • Assist with year-end financial audit and tax return schedules for Legacy and manage all audit requirements for each portfolio company
  • Manage sales tax compliance and support any federal or state tax audits.
  • Provide support to the accounting team as/when needed


  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Strong Accounting background, CPA is a plus
  • Public Accounting experience is a plus
  • Use of QuickBooks Online accounting software preferred
  • Familiarity with Great Plains accounting software a plus
  • Experience in a technology business a plus
  • Able to function in a rapidly growing and evolving business
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accurate, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize multiple projects and manage to deadlines
  • Very high degree of integrity, honesty, and discretion.
